STRIDE TO THE BEAT

Hello fellow pavement pounders! Let’s chat for a minute about the ultimate duo: running and music. It’s like peanut butter and jelly, but with more sweat and fewer crumbs.
There is something magical about the way music syncs seamlessly with your running stride. As your feet hit the pavement, each beat becomes a rhythmic pulse driving you forward. Whether it’s the steady thump of a bass drum of the soaring melody of a guitar solo, the right playlist can transform an ordinary run into an epic dance party.
We all have days when dragging ourselves out the door feels like a chore. Making sure you have the right playlist can ease that chore and turn it into fun!
Crafting up the perfect running playlist is an art form itself. You can’t just throw together a random assortment of music and call it good. It’s all about curating a collection of songs that speak to your soul and keep your feet moving. Here are a few of my favorite funning songs to help you get started:
Cardiac Arrest by Bad Suns
Glitter by BENNE
Sunshine by POWERS
Body Language (feat. T-Pain) by Jesse McCartney
Don’t Stop the Party (feat. TJR) by Pitbull
Don’t forget to let the music carry you as you find yourself on your journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Go crank up the volume, hit play and HAPPY RUNNING!
In October of 2018 my crazy cousin convinced me to run a half marathon with no training. Fast forward to January 2023 I ran my second ever half marathon… once again with very little training.
January of 2024, I found myself pretty unhappy because I had quit running January of 2023, so I decided to start back up again from scratch.
I started running 1 cm per follower as a joke. As of day, 7 I was running over a mile and well the rest is history.
Lesson learned:
DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SMALL STEPS.
